Caroline is an
accomplished actress who trained at The Royal Academy of Dance,
Adam Smith College in Fife and then The Acting Corps in Los
Angeles after gaining an MA in Classical Studies from Edinburgh
University.
Stage credits
include the roles of Gwendolyn in “The Importance of Being
Earnest”, Sofya in “Wild Honey”, Hilary O'Neil in “Dying
Young”, Desdemona in “Othello”, both Amanda and Laura in
“The Glass Menagerie” and she has recently been in the TIE
tour of “Hungry for Success”.
Caroline is delighted to be part of the
founding Tovo cast and will be directing (as well as acting in)
planned future works coming soon to the Tovo portfolio....

Adam
|
|
Adam brings great experience in Stage, Film and TV to the
Tovo cast. On TV, Adam has appeared in “The Bill” and
“Spooks” for the BBC and on Film, he has appeared in “A
Time To Kill”, “Shattered”, and an adaptation of Mike
Leigh's novel “Naked”.
His Stage credits include playing the title role in Macbeth,
the stage adaptation of Mike Leigh's “Naked” (playing
Johnny and Brian), “Importance of Being Earnest” (as
Algernon), “The Oresteia”, “Henry IV Parts 1 and 2”
(Prince Hal in both), “The Tempest” (as Antonio), “The
Hood Club” (as Malone), and “Journey to the Centre of the
Earth”.
Based in London, Adam's interests are wide:
Film, theatre, music, fun, friendship, politics, philosophy,
fine wine, travel, outdoor pursuits, watersports, martial arts,
literature, current affairs, world peace and uncontrollable
laughter.... and Adam is really looking forward to helping
bring the magic of theatre to the Internet.

James [profile page]

|
James is a great all-rounder - his main
passion is comedy where he is a highly regarded Stand-Up
comedian and is currently involved in writing a new sitcom –
but he has also appeared in a number of Stage, Film, TV and
Radio shows, has performed at the Edinburgh Festival and is a
Panto regular (although he confesses to being typecast as an
“Ugly Sister”!!).
James says “working
with Tovo is great fun, and that's what Tovo is all about;
letting people have fun, learn, interact with professional
actors and musicians ... and, well, having even more fun!”.
As well as being a member of the Tovo theatre
cast, James is also leading the Comedy genre, so look out for
some brilliant reworking of famous comedy scripts and new
material from some of the World's best emerging comedy writers.

Zach
|
|
One to watch! Zach trained at The Dartington College of Arts
where he gained a B.A(Hons) in Theatre, having also worked with
the renowned Hull Truck youth theatre, where his credits
include 'Eddy' in Willy Russell's “Stags and Hens” and
'Macheath' in Bertolt Brecht's “Threepenny Opera”.
Zach has also performed as a live presenter for a medieval
stunt team to crowds of over 4000 people and is looking forward
to working on the major productions planned by Tovo and helping
bring the joys of theatre to the Web.

Alan
|
|
The “Daddy” of the Company, Alan is an
experienced Stage actor, writer and director (as well as being
a qualified pharmacist...?!) and now nearing his fiftieth year
in the “business”!
Alan has appeared
in and directed more performances than he cares to (or can!)
remember: from the Greek Tragedies through Shakespeare, Music
Hall and Variety, to more contemporary works. Film credits
include “Sherlock Holmes” (alongside Jude Law and Robert
Downey Jnr, directed by Guy Richie) and “The Wolfman” (with
Sir Anthony Hopkins). On TV, Alan's credits include “Oliver
Twist”, “Criminal Justice” and “The CGI Show”.
Based in Surrey, Alan is delighted to be part
of the Tovo cast and working with such talented young actors
... but is still waiting for someone to explain how the
Internet works ....

Helen [profile page]
|
|
A talented young actress and soprano vocalist that Tovo is pleased to welcome into the Company - Helen trained at East 15 specialising in acting for TV, Film and Radio and is performing both in the Tovo theatre and musical theatre casts.
Helen has appeared in a variety of roles on Stage and Screen, including 'The Last Fireworks' (Directed by Edward Hicks). Beware though ... Helen is trained in Stage Combat and is a keen kick boxer, horse rider and general sports & fitness fan. Her ambition is to play Christine in Phantom of the Opera; so watch this space!

Mark
|
|
Mark is another hugely talented young actor
and says he is delighted to be joining the Tovo cast after
graduating with an MA in Theatre from the East 15 Theatre
School in London.
Mark has appeared in a number of Stage roles,
including: “Lifelines” at the White Bear Theatre, “24
Hour Plays” at the Courtyard Theatre, “Rough for Theatre
II” at the Corbett Theatre.

Claire is a graduate of Queens University, Belfast and
trained at LAMDA in London where she gained fantastic Stage
experience, appearing in “The Cherry Orchard”, “Mixed Up
North”, “Can Can”, “Caucasian Chalk Circle”,
“Pericles”, “Uncle Vanya” and “Romeo and Juliet”.
On TV, Claire has appeared in “Give My Head Peace” for the
BBC.
Claire has trained in Stage Combat, is a keen
scuba diver and is delighted to be part of the Tovo theatre
cast, pioneering the creation of interactive theatre on the
Internet.

Will [profile page]

Based in London, Will
graduated from the William Ester Studio in New York and the
American Academy of Dramatic Arts (think “Fame!”) and is an up
and coming professional actor with a growing reputation.
He has recently been working on the Films “Hands”
(Sony) and “The Boy Who Couldn't Sit Down” (Lets Play
Productions). On Stage, Will has played Mr Darcy in “Pride and
Prejudice” in New York City at the Dreyfuss Theatre and in the
“The Manhatten Project” at the Alonquin Theatre, “Charley
and Emma”, “Dr Faustus” and “Titus Andronicus”.

The “baby” of the
Tovo musical theatre cast, Vicky has joined the Company straight
from college where she has just completed her “A” Levels and
is really looking forward to forging a career in musical theatre –
her great passion.

Paul [profile page]

Originally
hailing from Sheffield, Paul trained at the renowned Italia Conti
Academy of Performing Arts before embarking on a successful West
End career.
From
starting professional life as a lead vocalist on one of the worlds
largest cruise ships, Royal Caribbeans' "Sovereign of the
Seas”, Paul has appeared in the West End in “Desperately
Seeking Susan”, as Gary Coleman in “Avenue Q”, “Dancing In
The Streets”, “Grand Hotel”, as Sammy Davis Jnr. in “Rat
Pack”, “Aint Misbehavin”, “Times Up”, “Five Guys Named
Moe”, “The Lion King”, ”Starlight Express”, “Sweet
Charity”, and “A
Chorus Line”
He has
also appeared in a wide variety of stage performances, including
“Blues in the Night”, “Legends Of Swing”, “Itsy Bitsy
Spider”, “The Ratpack Party”, “Around The World In 80
Days”, ”My One And Only”, and Shakespeare's “A Midsummer
Nights Dream” and “The Tempest” “Habeus Corpus”,
“Funkenstein”and “Mas Caribe”.
On TV,
Paul has appeared in "The Multicultural Achievement Awards",
"The Bill" (BBC), "The Richard Whiteley Show",
"Richard and Judy" and "Blue Peter" and his
Radio credits include “The Secret Tapes Of Murdoch Road” and
“Which Way, Nowhere” (both for BBC Radio).
Paul’s
acclaimed album "The Unexpected Paul Hazel" (2003) –
available on Amazon - is a collection of 12 original jazz songs
and he is currently working on a compilation album entitled
"Better Life". Most recently, Paul has been touring the
UK with the Blue Mountain production of “We Shall Overcome”.
Paul is delighted to be leading the
Tovo musical cast and is looking forward to welcoming many new
friends to sing with him and the rest of the Tovo cast.

Jamie [profile page]

|
Jamie trained at The
Leeds College of Music with his principle focus on musical
theatre, voice and vocal production. Whilst studying in Leeds,
Jamie worked with the Limelight School for Performing Arts and
Angharad Sanders as Assistant Musical Director and Singing Coach,
helping to produce a number of shows during his time there. In
2008, he also co-founded The Well Seasoned Singers, a vocal duo,
with Angharad.
His theatre credits
include: “Fame”, “We Will Rock You”, “Tick, tick…BOOM!”,
“Les Miserables”, “Godspell”, “West Side Story”,
“Jesus Christ Superstar”, “The Last Five Years”, “The
Boyfriend” and “La Boheme/Tosca” (Ellen Kent Productions).
Jamie is excited to be a part of the founding
Tovo musical theatre cast and really looks forward to performing
the repertoire that inspired his original interests in Musical
Theatre – and helping you to share the joy of performance..

Matt
|
|
Matt studied at Dartington College of Arts where he received his BA in theatre. Although a new blood in the acting world Matt has contributed to many local contemporary performance groups. He toured with the Devon based theatre company Dreamcatcher in the show "Nightterrors," where he performed hogtied wearing nothing but his pants. In a similar vain Matt's solo work includes the site performance "A Parsons Tale" where he walked the pilgrimage from london to Canterbury to recreate a modern version of Chaucers, "Canterbury Tales" collecting the stories of the people he encountered along the way. His stage experience includes Macduff and Claudius in Doggs Hamlet Cahoots Macbeth, The narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, Racks in Class Enemy, and the post master in Govenment Inspector.

Hamilton [profile page]

Hamilton trained professionally at Laine Theatre Arts, Epsom. Whilst at college he appeared in A Chorus Line as Mike and in A Little Night Music as a Liedesinger, both directed by Tudor Davies. He appeared a soloist in Moving On, From The Top and Name of the Game at the Epsom Playhouse Theatre, all directed by Betty Laine. He was also a featured soloist in West End Laine (Aldwych Theatre, London) and performed in 50 Years of Stage & Screen and Musical Memories of Stage & Screen both at the Palace Theatre, London.
He spent a year traveling to all corners of the world as part of the resident theatre company on board P & O's MV Oriana, performing in 17 production shows including many lead roles.
Pantomime appearances have included ensemble in two seasons for the Kings Theatre, Glasgow appearing in Mother Goose and Cinderella and most recently playing the title roles in Peter Pan (Theatre, Royal, Lincoln) and Aladdin (Kenneth More Theatre, Ilford).
Hamilton also played the role of Barnaby Tucker in the No 1. UK Tour of Hello, Dolly alongside Anita Dobson and Darren Day.

Donnla
|
|
Donnla trained at LAMDA and recently won the BBC 2008 Carleton Hobbs’ bursary.
This has meant working with the BBC Radio Drama Company on a number of Radio 3 and Radio 4
productions.
On stage, Donnla has appeared at the Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre; the Dublin Theatre Festival ’04 with the Druid Theatre Company, and at the Galway Arts Festival with the Galway Youth Theatre.
Her skills include advanced stage combat, and she plays the piano and violin. Donnla also has a B.A.(Hons) in Psychology.

Rachel [profile page]

Originally from North Wales, Rachel Started her training at a very young age when she
attended a local school, The Pearl Shaw school of performing arts. Where she trained in
all aspects of the profession until she gained a full scholarship to attend a 3 year course at
the the prestigious collage- Laine Theatre Arts. During her time in training Rachel has
appeared in numerous professional productions including: 14 Qdos Pantomimes, Seven
Brides for Seven Brothers, A Night at the Musicals and many variety performances. She
has appeared on Top of The Pops and most recently played Rusty in the workshop
production of the new musical Raindogs, in Trafalgar Studios London.
Rachel is delighted to be a part of the Tovo musical cast and hopes you enjoy singing
along with all the cast at home.

Sean
|
|
Sean is thrilled to be part of the Tovo family.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island but raised over the border in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, Sean enlisted in the US Navy when he was 17. After serving four years with Good Conduct, he was honourably discharged and decided to pursue a career with absolutely no military resemblance or relevance: acting.
He received his BFA in theatre studies from the University of Rhode Island and then moved to London where he attended LAMDA.
He graduated in July 2008 and now resides in Crouch End.
